I was glad to be able to control a lot of the buttons and nobs with
ease. With high expectations come high prices. I drove a baseline model (if there is
such a thing) with the technology package (voice-activated nav, rear-view camera, and real time traffic
info) and the rear climate package as my only upgrades. And if I thought it
couldn't get any better, the X6 is equipped with a collection of professionally engineered suspension
dynamics that make this even more worth the price of admission. It wasn't that the
weather was absolutely gorgeous, because it was anyways this time of year. At first it
was quite the undertaking, BMW's have lots of features that can take some quality time
to figure out.Additionally, I don't like letting the cat out of the bag, but this
baby drives like nothing else. It is with this lethal one-two punch, does the X6
performs with stealthy, cat like reflexes. Here's a slight overview of the 2008 BMW X6.The
Tn Requin X6 is an evident morphing of two benchmark autos. For guys like me, I could
only admire and imagine a life bettered by a such a nice vehicle. The standard
twin-turbo 3.0L DOHC inline six is simply creamy smooth, it has absolutely no faults and
is quick to delegate to any sort of pedal push. I elected not to let
all the cats out of the bag, but there is so much more to discover
and talk about once the shopper gets his/her hands on the X6. I could not
possibly spoil it with a ten page article, it just wouldn't be fair. I thought
the look was slick, and had a lower center of gravity to help make it
a performer's ride, and you'll soon see why. And ultimately, the cure for the common
SUV. Initially, it was just so hard to describe! And this was an important realization
to know, especially when the automaker has appropriately made its own category...the "sports activity coupe"
nike tn with the creation of the X6. It is with this engineering trifecta, does the X6
stand apart from the rest of the crowd.The only problem with anything is that this
is truly BMW. I quickly activated the start button and combined the heart and soul
or such an independent game player. The xDrive all wheel drive system is seamless, articulate,
and instantaneous on every road hazard. So okay, after a trip to the sunshine state,
a visit to a buddy of mine's BMW dealership, and half an hour behind the
wheel, it was super clear what was running through my mind. And, the six-speed automatic
w/integrated steering wheel paddle shift control is nothing short of spectacular as well. The interior
appointments is BMW upfitted with royal materials and a light and earthy ambiance that could
only be described as stellar. From the beltline and up, the X6 looks too much
like a coupe 3 series with a quick tapered rear roofline. Hence, I thoroughly enjoyed
taking this smooth operator for brief moment of mental ownership. From the beltline and down,
it was all SUV, more or less similar to the X5 and Porsche Cayenne's stance.
The 2008 BMW X6 was no doubt an awesomely memorable ride, and it was nothing
like I have ever tested before. The suspension is further enhanced with dynamic stability control,
hill descent control, and taught 19" wheels and tires. If any prospective buyer is willing
to lob down over $55k for a genuine piece of hardware, should be blessed and
probably deserves it. And how about Escalade, Range Rover, or Mercedes ML...bah, the X6 is
the real deal. It was no where near the look or feel of any other
sport utility vehicle available, it just performed too much like its own niche. Smiles for
